The MSc Epidemiology Postgraduate Online is our 90 ECTS programme. This part-time programme is offered online, which makes it flexible in time and place.

Theoretical epidemiological courses (34 ECTS)

All theoretical courses are offered online through Elevate Health.

Within the courses, 20 ECTS are core courses for all students, consisting of 8 basic epidemiology and statistical courses.
The other 14 ECTS are devoted to an individual programme of specialisation courses within:
- Clinical Epidemiology
- Veterinary Epidemiology or
- General Epidemiology 
These are advanced courses on MSc- or PhD-level in the field of epidemiology and statistics.
The individual programme depends on the epidemiological specialisation of choice and personal preferences. Courses are taught in the form of interactive lectures combined with computer exercises.

Research project (56 ECTS)

The research project is conducted within a research theme preferably at the location of the researcher and supervised by a supervisor of the Utrecht University. The research project is finished by an oral presentation and by writing a scientific paper, which is submitted to an international journal.
