About the master programme

The MSc Epidemiology programme is a fulltime 120EC research master, organised within the Utrecht University Graduate School of Life Sciences, with a practical approach of epidemiological research design. Starting from the clinical question instead of a theoretical approach. The aim of this master’s programme is:

  • To provide you with extensive knowledge and practical skills in patient-oriented research design, implementation, quantitative analysis and its application to clinical medicine and public health
  • To form a solid basis for health research and disease control programmes, including application in low and lower-middle income countries

The MSc Epidemiology is accredited by the NVAO. The programme equals the registration demands of the "Vereniging voor Epidemiologie" for Epidemiologist A*

Do you have a strong interest in examining the distribution and determinants of health and morbidity in specific populations? Read further for more information.
