Application
To enter the PhD Epidemilogy programme one must have a position as PhD student at Utrecht University, doing epidemiological research.
After obtaining a PhD position, there are two possibilities on application for the PhD programme Epidemiology:
- Students with a master degree in Epidemiology (equal to Dutch registration Epidemiologist A) are eligible to enter the programme
- Students without a master degree in Epidemiology are only eligible to enter the PhD programme Epidemiology if they will follow the postgraduate master Epidemiology as part of their PhD training
To apply, within 3 months after their start a PhD student, the following needs to be done:
- Registration at the Hora Est module of Metis using ’Form 1: Request for Exemption and Admission to Doctoral Studies’.
The printed version of this form (the original version) must be send to the secretary of the dean of the UMC Utrecht (Address: Mw. M. van Rijn, Correspondence: D01.343), including all signatures, a copy of your passport and a copy of relevant diplomas. Foreign students sometimes have to fill out some more documents; this procedure is clarified at the Hora Est-website.
